The concept of this product began after my oldest son was diagnosed with PDD-NOS in the summer of 2009. I began writing down everything from when he got up in the morning, what kind of mood he was in, what he ate/drank, words he said, tantrums he threw, therapies he had.... I used a simple spiral notebook and found the process to be extremely cumbersome and unorganized. I longed for something to make this aspect of my life easier. I searched and found plenty of health journals but nothing was exactly right. So, I created simple tables in MS Word, put in a 3 ring binder and compiled the information to keep it organized. After a few weeks I jokingly thought "I should really make a product out of this". Well, several months later, here it is!
This journal is tailored for parents of children with autism, but can be used by anyone wanting to record daily information on their child. Many a parent can attest that their toddler can be a handful; raising an autistic child, or one with any disability or special needs carries its own challenges. My desire is that this journal is simple for you to use, and does not add "another thing to do" to an already hectic day. Collecting information on your child is important, it has definitely helped us understand what components of treatment have worked, and what has not.
Thank you again for visiting. I sincerely appreciate your business, and wish the best for you and your family.
